Exposition

Yesterday we had to write a exposition writing about should children work for there pocket money?. I really thought for a while for this one. But I had made my decision. If you want to you can read my work and leave me feedback and feed-forward. Enjoy!!

Should children work for their pocket money?

I prefer to work for my money. Firstly because it makes you work hard, then you will get good through it. Secondly you help around the house. Finally you will know how it's like having your own house. That's why I believe that yes we should work for our pocket money.

Firstly children need to work hard to get good out of it. If they work hard then they will know what hard work his and will know that everything you do, you put hard work into it. Then you will know that you are successful.

Secondly your parent’s won’t forever be there your life. So if you learn now how to clean, wash dishes and so on. Then you will have the gidus to knowing what your house will look like in the future. That’s why I believe that we should earn our pocket money.

Finally you have responsibilities in your life. You have to get yourself your own everything. But you will end-up thanking your parents because your parents made you do work around the house when you were younger. That’s why I feel that working hard is better than just getting money for no work.

In my opinion I strongly agree that we should work for our pocket money. Wouldn’t you think that hard work will make you feel good inside?.

Character reveiw

This week I have did a character review on my book called Kensuke's kingdom. This has been really interesting. We had to do the main character's in the book and talk a little bit about them :). So I picked Stella ( the dog), Michael's parents ( his mother & father), Kensuke ( the old man ) and Michael ( the main character). Well anyways the purpose of me doing this is to encourage other kids my age to read this book too and be inspired as I did :).

Inquiry fact

Did you know eels have two different type of fins. Some eels have long- fins and others have short-fins. I didn't know that. But now I wanna research how can we tell which eels have short fins or long fins?

graphic organiser

Kia ora. Last week I started learning about eels. I will be writing a report. I started collecting facts and then sorted them into groups. For example: Appearance, Diet, Habitat and others and that was fun. But I had to make it look really creative so I designed some eels, titled it and added color. Next I will be starting on writing my general statement to add to my report.
